Russell Brand to perform in Crawley on new stand

RUSSELL Brand is bringing his new world tour to The Hawth in August and tickets are on sale now.

The crazy-haired, skinny-belted ladies' man is back doing what he does best: stand-up.

As part of his Messiah Complex world tour (also featuring Jesus, Che Guevara, Gandhi, Malcolm X and Hitler), the comic is appearing in Crawley on Saturday, August 10.

Since that Radio 2 fiasco with Jonathan Ross involving prank calls to Andrew Sachs and his failed marriage to popstar Katy Perry, Brand has been focussing largely on his acting career with parts in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek and the not quite-so brilliant Arthur.

Although his heart clearly still lies in comedy, he ought to consider going into politics as a day job after his recent appearance on the Question Time panel with Boris Johnson.

Brand has been promoting his world tour in the USA and encountered a rather awkward interview on MSNBC's Morning Joe show which has since gone viral. Watch it below:

Messiah Complex takes a look at the mental disorder which causes sufferers to believe they are the messiah - so, umm, did Jesus have it? Or even Gandhi? This is the question Brand tackles, with all his usual wit, flair and rampant chat.

Plus the lothario will be making sexual references. Obviously. So watch out women of Crawley.

Tickets are priced at £25 and are available from the Box Office on 01293 553636 or book online at www.hawth.co.uk
